The Best FREE Training You’ll Ever Get

Have you ever wondered why you aren’t getting the results you desire? You are doing everything others said you need to do to find success, to live a better life or to advance in your career, but things don’t seem to be changing like you hoped.

I soo know how you feel. I felt the same way when I was trying to expand my business. It seemed like the harder I tried, the worse things got. The more effort I put into my business, the less response I received. It was soooo very frustrating.

But it taught me this one important lesson. How we live our lives is directly related to how we think.

Funny thing is, I wasn’t thinking so good. I thought other people that looked successful, knew the perfect formula to help me become successful. Now don’t get me wrong, some of them were VERY successful. I’m not even saying they didn’t have a few strategies that could help me.

However, I misplaced their importance in my life. I was looking to them more than I looked to God for a strategy. I distinctly remember praying that I could scrape up the money to attend a seminar that promised to teach me how to position my business for success.

I prayed and prayed, however God’s response blew my mind. He said, “My advice is cheaper and will yield better results.” Ok… He didn’t say it exactly like that, but you get the point.

It caused me to realize one simple thing. Sometimes we’re willing to spend thousands of dollars for training that God is willing to give us for FREE.

What are you asking of others that God is willing to help you do? Could it be that you are placing more value on others who can help you minimally than on the God of the Universe whose resources are UNLIMITED?

Life Dare: Research the Bible to find ONE Scripture that will remind you of God’s willingness to help you in any situation. Share the Scripture He gives you in the comment section below, so we can all benefit.

  1. “Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.” John 14:13, 14

This verse has given me strength to persevere through some pretty hard times.

    • Cindy, I love this Scripture too! It gives my faith a boost when I’m going through difficult seasons. Thanks for sharing.

  2. This was awesome! I’ve definitely felt that way more than once. There was a conference I really wanted to attend but just couldn’t get everything I needed to attend. It turns out God had a bigger plan. That very same weekend I would have been away, I was blessed with an opportunity to advertise my business on a local tv station! In fact the scripture that comes to mind is Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

    • Yes indeed Summer! The best strategies are always from God and He divinely orchestrates our steps according to His divine will and for our best advantage. I’m so glad I’m His!

  3. Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

    • Absolutely Cheryl. God is the ultimate SOURCE of help!

  4. Cheryl,

Thank you so much for sharing this! I’ve been in a season of “info-gathering” and learning. Classes, books, seminars, emails with my “heroes,” etc. I’ve been quietly reflecting that it’s time to move into the next season of implementing. I cannot do this without consulting my “boss,” Jesus. This simple perspective shift is really helping me gain clarity on what I’m supposed to do for “next steps.” Glad to know there are others on the path with me!

    • Absolutely Allie. After I came out of a season of classes, books, seminars with my own set of heroes, I was overwhelmed and somewhat embarrassed because after all of that training, I was ‘stuck.’ I didn’t know exactly which path to take. The paths they advised were all good and had blessed them tremendously. But for me, it was information overload. I didn’t come out of this state of ‘stuck,’ until I went to God and admitted I relied more on the wisdom of others than on His wisdom. Long story short, He gave me HIS plan, which suits MY personality, style and life PERFECTLY. I know He’ll do the same for you.

  5. I’ve been very blessed to have a select few people invest in me and I’ve blossomed under the blessings extended. Each day new things are opening up to me. This Scripture is my reminder that God is willing to help me in any situation: My verse for this year is 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12 ~ With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God make you worthy to his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith. We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him according to the grace of our God and Lord Jesus Christ.

    • Hi Kim, that is an awesome Scripture to keep in your heart throughout the year. I know it will continue to motivate and inspire you to chase God’s perfect will for your life.

  6. What a great reminder to go to God first and seek His will in our lives. The verse that comes to me is Jeremiah 29:11 -“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
This verse always reminds me and reassures me that God has great plans for me if I allow Him to lead me.

    • You’re so right Sue. And that happens to be my FAVORITE Scripture. Great minds think alike. =)

  7. That’s a great reminder. Sometimes He works through others, sometimes He shows us himself through His Word.

Psalm 145:18 – The Lord is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth.

    • Thanks for the great Scripture reference Lorri. If we keep God first, He’ll point us to the RIGHT resources we need.

  8. LOOOOOOOOVE this SO much!!!!! Thank you-this is so apropos 🙂
May He bless you in all you do,
    Sherri Ohler

P.S. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me 😉

    • Yayyyy! I’m glad you enjoyed it Sherri. Sometimes we make things sooo very complicated, when God’s choice is oh so simple. =)

  9. Well said Cheryl. I think of the verse where Jesus said to Martha, “Mary chose what is better.” The “better” was sitting at His feet listening to Him. Something to think about.

    • Yes indeed Kinsey. I think I’ll sit down like Mary and get the wisdom. =)

  10. What a powerful article. The scripture that I stand on and that comes to mind for Life Dare is Matthew 6:33, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteous, and all these things shall be added unto you.” (This means “everything” that we have need of our God will supply–including His wisdom and understanding).

    God bless you!!!

    • I love that Scripture too Suzette! It reminds us daily of God’s willingness to faithfully supply our needs if we just ASK!
